Each month ASCEND hosts an event in honor of a featured guest in an effort to celebrate accomplishments and/or address issues that are unique to women.  Honored guests may be authors, business owners, enlightened executives, and motivational speakers. Topical discussions are lead when no guest is planned.

On November 19th, ASCEND welcomes
          
 Ms. Linda Litowsky, Executive Director 
                              Channel Austin (public TV)

Linda has more than thirty years of diversified experience and progressive responsibility in business operations, production, non-profit entities, corporate, public information and education, and senior level management in television and film production, multi-media, including public information and education dissemination, live broadcasting, video recording, and training.

She will share insightful remarks about women in media with an emphasis on the state of media ownership by women.  Additionally, Linda will talk about channel Austin specifically - its history, new developments, 2010 programmatic thrusts, and future directions. Attendees may also enjoy a tour of the newly digitally upgraded facility.

There will also be opportunities for attendees to network and exchange business cards in an effort to build contacts and referrals. Door prizes will also be awarded.
